Hi, I have submitted my website to all the major search engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN. This was done almost 2 months back. If I do a site:www.mysite.com, I could see that only the homepage is indexed. Its the same case with all the search engines. however I could see the backlinks pointing to my site. I have more than 500 pages on my site and I still dont see a reason why search engines didnt index the whole site. All pages are well optimized for SEO and all pages have internal links pointing to all the inner pages. Does it take more time or am i missing something? Any suggestions would be helpful. Much appreciated.
Search Engines are not quick to add all your pages. Just because they index your homepage does not mean they want to index all your other pages too. There are many reasons why deeper pages aren't indexed. If you can give me your URL I can take a look and give you my suggestions.
Hi T_Media, Thanks for your reply. Here is my site http://www.livemobiles.co.uk Pls go thru and give your suggestions.
Ok at first glance I can see why your other pages are not yet indexed. There's very little content on your other pages. Search engines are much less likely to index pages with little content. To remedy this you must either build external links to those seperate pages or pass value to them from your homepage, but considering your homepage PR is 0, you'll find this very difficult. You may also have luck with adding more content to your other pages, but do not do anything to compromise the flow of your site.
