Hello guys, I am rather new to SEO (and also new to this forum). I hope its the right subforum . I started my journey into world of online marketing few months ago. Right now I am researching some keywords for my first websites and I have a real problem, I ofter see that kind of competition: http://i.imgur.com/HlkUa.jpg and I really don't know whether it is strong or weak. From the one hand, this top10 pages doesn't have many backlinks and are not targeted for this keyword. From the other hand, these are all huge, well established sites and top10 pages are targeted for similar keywords. How difficult is it to get into top3 for keyword like this? Additional info about keyword: dimmable cfl bulbs 1000 exact searches local US traffic about 2,5$ avg cpc If it was easy, it would be a goldmine, because I've already found about 20 keywords like this one (although even easier, with 7-8 sites with no backlinks to a page). Please keep in mind I am not discussing this specific keyword, but situation - only huge sites, almost noone targeting keyword.
