Hi, We have recently noticed that only our Hompage (www.globalbike.co.uk) is being indexed by Google. Webmaster Tools says that the sitemap is fine and that there are currently 500 URL's in it. However the number of pages in the Web Index is 1. As far as I am aware we have not violated any of Google's guidelines and this has got us completely stumped. Could any one explain why this has happened and if possible take a look over our site and identify any issues. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Many Thanks
You know why? Because you're not linking to the other pages on your site - don't just build links to your homepage, gets links for the other pages as well.
Your website looks cool. Do some internal linking and also work on getting some links to your inner pages too. This will rightly put you in getting all your pages indexed. I guess your website is still new and need more of those link juice before getting further pages indexed. Nothing to worry. Keep working. SEO isn't a quick process to achieve targets
Are you sure? If I search on Google for site:globalbike.co.uk I get over 1,000 results, and when I search for something specific on a lower level page (eg. 'Crank Brothers Cobalt 3 Flat Bar - Iron 600mm global') your site appears. It seems that Google has worked it's way a certain depth through your site. And your site looks pretty well optimised - well thought out robots.txt, good URLs, etc. Maybe you just need to build more links and give it a bit more time?
