Only email hosting is possible?

I had many domains registered at godaddy and recently I had moved my website from Cpanel hosting (Hostgator) to Godaddy but now problem is that they are giving only 1 GB space for mailbox and I have 100 emails so need around 10 GB of space. :( They have mail upgrade plans but they cost a lot.
So is it possible I keep my domain and hosting with godaddy and can create new mailbox at any other mail server/webmail/email hosting service with email address like ??
If yes then which are the good options? (Affordable)

    Regards,
    Jaimin

Yes, that is possible - you could host your e-mail on a separate server.

You could use Google Apps for e-mail hosting. You could also rent your own VPS or something and use iRedMail or similar, although you'd have to take care of the maintenance then. GoDaddy offers e-mail hosting only too (http://www.godaddy.com/email/email-hosting.aspx).

yes you just need to point the mx records using the godaddy dns zone file editor to the new email server.
i've heard live.com provides free email for your own domain but I really couldn't find a way on doing it.

    Hi Jaimin,

What is your budget for the email hosting? How many emails you will be sending every day?

Google Apps used to have free email hosting for up to 50 accounts but they no longer offer that. If you are still able to find a domain that had been registered to google apps when it was free, you can add additional domains (i think up to 50) and you will be able to use all gmail features with your own domain.

Another free option is http://www.domains.live.com/ which is like google apps but it uses microsoft hotmail/outlook instead. I have been using both google apps and this for couple of my domains and this would be my second choice.

If you can afford to pay a little, there are paid mail hosting services like https://www.fastmail.fm or http://www.rackspace.com/email-hosting/ which are reliable and good.

    Good luck
