Only domain has PageRank, why?

    Hi,

I'm still optimizing my domain and page for search engines, and I have a question:
My domain has PageRank 4, but none of my pages has any PageRank at all.
Like www.mydomain.com has PR 4, but when you go to www.mydomain.com, you get redirected to www.mydomain.com/privat, which has no PR - is this bad?
And why is it like that?

    thanks, Kristian

You need to link your internal pages with other source which have greater pr than yours.

PR hasn't been updated since July. Any pages that were created since July will have no PR.

Redirecting the homepage to another page is normally a bad idea.

Have you made a sitemap? It may help a lot. Then try to build links for your inner pages.

Wait, what is the URL your site BTW?

I agree with others here redirecting your homepage is absolutely not something you want to do.

uhhhhhhh yeah that's bad. The redirect is preventing Google from spidering the rest of your site that's why your domain name only has PR. Are your other pages indexed??? If not that even further backs up that Googlebot can't get thru the weird redirect. Why is it redirecting anyway??? Fix that right away.

    1. Create a sitemap that links the homepage to every page of the site

    2. Write more content that you wish to be PR'd. Content will help your page to be indexed properly.

    3. Google view each page as a unique page.

    Hope this helps :)

intersite linking with good anchor text, site map, and a few deep links should do the trick

In order to get pr's for inner pages, you need to get backlinks for them.

I agree with the suggestions above but why go through all that trouble when you can simply remove the redirect and automatically give pages within one click of the homepage a PR3?! The redirect is a serious issue IMO. ascii needs a site that is fully indexable without the help of a sitemap.

remove the redirect and your pages linked directly to the homepage should receive a pr 2 or 3 on the next update
