I have also some domains .info, .net, and .org. I allways try to get .com, as it looks profesional. When I can˙t get any .com domain that also hear natural I buy mostly .info or .org.
definitely NOT! I have had some good .net sales and .info sales. Better than almost all of my .com domains actually..
.com .net .org, if you want to be taken seriously. It's Better to buy .com for $$$'s or $$$$'s than be cheap and get something else.
Hi I preffer to use .com and .co.uk myself. However I think in search engine terms its not the ending of the domain its the site and the content. The site of mine that gets the most traffic for me is actually a .info domain. I also own the .com and .co.uk of the same domain and they get traffic too, but .info gets the most. I use the .info as a blog, so I presume this is due to the unique and regular content. I think if your advertising offline then a .com or country ending domain is best, but online for search engines etc I consider the domain ending not to be a big problem. Hope that helps
A .com or a .net would be the obvious safe choice for any newcomer to domaining however there are some ccTLD's which may be worth the risk regging if its a good keyword however you have to take the popularity of the ext into consideration, is it one anyones likely to have heard of? if no then you may want to reconsider especially if there is a hefty regfee, if for example its a .in then it's a relatively risk free reg. Names like .sc can carry a risk but if the keyword is good then you could reap the profits but if you ask me i'd generally stay away from .sc type extensions unless its just too good, even then i'd grudge paying the extortionate reg fees.
.com is a solid domain but you can also use .net, .org and .info for certain situations. For example .info is fine for anything that is offering information, a content site. .Net domains often get good traffic.
i only buy none .com if i need to protect my big website by buying up all the .net .org .tv .info. .us. co.uk .mobi .biz and so on.
It all depends on the website. If its going to be big make it a .com But if its going to be like a proxy you would be fine with a .info.
COMs are more memoreble ones and that is the reson people like them. But I have met lots of projects which are with other domain name extensions and they look great.
Of course if you are getting the domain with development in mind, it doesn't really matter. But if you are planning to sell the domain later, then .com is the way to go.
