Hi all, I just started a new campaign with Google Adwords on a keyword that has only three competing ads. I used the AdWord Analyzer to count the number of ads. Anyway, I don't want to be at the top for this keyword. If there's only three ads, being the fourth is alright by me. I tried to enter my max PPC as $0.01 and Google Adwords says that my ad will only be active if I increase my max PPC to $0.10. I did that, thinking maybe I'll only be charged $0.01. But I've been charged $0.10 for each click and right now my ad is in second position. Why is this so? - Bina
I noticed that the google adwords is becoming more expensive now. they do not allow you to have the bid less than 0.1. too sad
The minimum bid floor I think is $0.05 for the search network. Even if you have the only ad it will cost you the minimum bid. Edit: typo on amount of min bid
If the minimum bid is $0.10 and for publishers there are reports of around a 70% payout then how come people get paid $0.02 per click?
min bid is for search network only, not for content network. the payout valuet is of %78.5 Anyway the min bid floor of $0.10 information is completely wrong.
Read this: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/01/common-adwords-misconception-explained.html Regarding the min bid brought up by others in this thread - there isn't one.
Aha... I stand corrected. Now I understand minimum bids: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/01/common-adwords-misconception-explained.html Sorry for any miscommunication on my part. I am not new to SEO... I am new to Adwords.
