Only 0.75% CTR, help to increase this

    Hello,

I have a forex website which receives over 4,000 page views according to google adsense with an average CTR between 0.50% to 1%. My question is how do I successfully increase the CTR to around 1.5% which I feel will be more realistic. As a result I feel I can increase my revenue from $20 to $40 a day.

I have blended my adsense in the content as well as done above fold etc... although my site does operate and earn outside of adsense I feel I can successfully increase the CTR with little work but at a loss of what techniques need to be applied to increase the click-throughs. What works better - text or image ads?

Any help here or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Regards,

If you have access to the new Adsense control panel (the one with /v3/ in the URL) then take a look through the Performance Reports tab. There's an option in there that will let you see exactly which types of ads are doing best on your sites.

In addition to the performance reports in the new dashboard, you can try using Google Analytics to see which pages grab the most traffic so you can optimize ad placements on those particular pages.

Only good content can increase your website page view. It will also increase CTR.
