Online Youtube Video Downloader and Converter !

I have just finished developing this unique custom designed Youtube video downloader and converter and wish to sell it.
There are only a handfull of websites like this around at the moment, and none with the style and features of the this website.
There is a huge market for these types of website but only a few exist at the moment.

What the site does:
With www.tubefish.net Users can browse video all of Youtubes videos then select the video the wish to download by click on a link.

The user will then be taken to the Download page where they click a button and in less than a minute, the Video is retrieved from Youtube, Converted on-the-fly and sent back to the user as a download.

All of this process happens on-the-fly as i said, no videos are hosted on the website server itself, they are all retrieved from Youtube using their Developer API.

Most of similar websites only let you download a Flv file and then you must find a converter or Flv player. Tubefish.net erases that problem.

Administration:
There is a complete comprehensive backend Admin system to run this website. Including Ad management, Content management, News Letters, Links and Users

Content Management:
You can edit various elements of how the site appears from here.

1. Choose Featured Video on Index page
2. Choose number of videos on Index page
3. View Active Download
4. View Totla Downloads
5. Display Advertisements
6. Set Maximum allow downloads per Day
7. Set Maximum filesize allowed for Download
8. Clear all active downloads

Email Management:
The site has various emails it send out for example if you use the "Tell a friend" module and the "Email Video to Friends" module.
You can edit the templates for these automatic emails in the Email management section.

Banner Ad Management:
A Simple and easy to use opensource Banner Ad management system is included, Ads have been strategically placed around the website.
You can include your Adsense code or any other type of Banner Ads with this system. I have included a Advertisement campaign with this site,

You can easily add news and announcements to the News box on the Index page with this tool.
They are automatically sorted by date.

1. Tell a Friend is location on the Index page, A user can enter in a friends email address and they will be sent a link to the website via Email.
2. When a user finishes downloading a video they have an option to enter in 3 friends email addresses.
Those 3 friend will then be sent a link that is Active for 24 hours that allows them to download the same convertered video.

Site Requirements
This site is quite bandwidth intensive and will need at least 500Gb to 1TB of bandwidth per month.
It is also best if it runs on a dedicated server as the website needs write and execute permission to certain folders and the server
needs to be somewhat fast.

yea, its going up and down every moment
i must agree that u did a great job there, nice idea and unique layout, however i think is not a good business model yet unless u want to lose money every month in server fees. imho, i think the site will need a very powerful win server to run successfully (which will cost too much) specially the RAM to convert files to mpg. basically, if lots of users at the same time are downloading and converting i think it may crash at any moment, may be is what is happening now with it.
i tested it myself by downloading one and the conversion is not good enough when playing with WMP, too much pixelation

i suggest to setup a way to disconnect the converter module even is the key of the script, and allow users to directly download the .flv from utube without needing to push the file to your server, i know there are a lot of these services online, but i dont see any other way then this to avoid server issues, specially being a windows server. btw, why didnt u write it in php instead?

finally, a suggestion: add a captcha to the tell a friend form unless u want spammers to use yr form to spam worldwide. it happens everyday

The site has actually been tested and runs quite fine on a dedicated server with 2GB of RAM.I also have 1 TB of bandwidth which is quite enough for now.

Server fees are getting cheaper and cheaper today. This site should be seen as an investment, over time as it gain popularity the revenue it generates will be more than able to cover the costs of server fees.

A similar site called Youtubex.com but with less features than mine recently sold on Sitepoint.com for over $50,000. These sites can gain popularity quite quick and once they do there worth their weight in gold and server fees will not be an issue.

The problem is not the site crashing the server. It was a problem with my hosting company and their DNS servers. It was not resolving the URL to my site.

I can set the Video quality from the Admin panel on the site, i have just set it low for the moment.

I didnt write it in PHP as iam an ASP.NEt developer

Yeah the captcha is a good idea ill look into that!

Yes i made a code change to the website and forgot to test it when i was finished.

Thats what was cause that error. It is back now.
