so what is your opinion about offline and online marketing. I think there is much more credibility factor in offline marketing as compared to online marketing. But on the other side offline marketing is more expensive than online marketing.

Online marketing is able to reach a much wider audience, however in the offline world people have come to expect to pay more. There's definitely money to be made in both, it's just a matter of which style suits you.

As Bruce said, Online marketing is able to reach a much wider options.
However offline marketing can be a killer if you set up some good flyers and start distributing them :)
It all depends on your niche ;p

We are using both online and offline marketing (we run silver jewelry eshop). However in offline (ads, leaflets...) we are sometime facing problem, that people simply do not know what internet and eshop is (mainly older people) :)

I spend far less online than off. Newspaper and magazine rates are an ass-ripper.

If I wanted to lose money, I'd walk around dowtown after hours with my wallet sticking out of my pocket.

Online marketing can hit more people, but I think offline marketing (from experience) is more effective, because it seems more legitimate than online advertising.

They are both great ways to advertise the key is to leverage one or the other. For example lets say you personally focus on online marketing and outsource someone for your offline marketing.

You will be able to level your efforts. A good offline advertisement is toss cards :) and online is article marketing!

I have tried both - and I like online marketing far better! For one it's way cheaper (if not free) and it's much less leg work. Offline marketing can really drain your pockets and energy. It's harder to afford to test market offline like you can experiment with online. However, for some markets offline or a mixture of offline & online marketing may be beneficial.
