    Hi

I have discovered that a major online music store has copyed one of my blog posts word for word and hot linked one of my images.

What should I do? Normally I don't mind too much as a link is added but they beat me in the serps which really pisses me off.

    Can I do anything?

    Thanks

    thier article

What control Panel are you using for your hosting website?

If it happens to be Cpanel there is a option to block hotlinking. Which would make the images on there site come up as not found.

    IT's wordpress.

I might just replace the image with a porn one. That would get them some bad press.

I mean what is the hosting control panel you are using on the server or aren't you using one at all?

And yea I have seen other people do that before I find it pretty funny. :p

Doesn't really look like it's a direct copy, and that image looks like a press shot, or promotional phot..so you can't really claim that you are the only one that has a right to use it.

Personally, I'd rather replace the image with a picture of Goatse or some kind of disgusting porn, so that it shows up on their live site. I love doing that to hotlinkers.

Whenever I need to use some images. I just copy n upload them at tinypic. It take just few sec, so it prevents from future possible embarrassments :D :D
