Hi, We have an authority site with more than 10 years old (i think, google trust the site). we just checked the ranking down for some keywords (subpages). as online store we never updated the subpages, we only update product pages. What is the factor that make our subpages ranking down? what should we do? As i read on forum, now the important thing is the content. should we add more contents (about 500 words) on our subpages? or maybe meta tags? is a link still affect for seo? Thanks in advance.
yes we thing content should you more added contents in 700 world ok? this good for you yes this link very still for seo
What is the factor that make your subpages ranking down? 1. Check your keywords , Your keyword must be related to your product content. 2. Check your Title and Meta Description tag , your keywords must be there. 3. Check how google cache your subpages. 4. The main reason of ranking down is update of your product page . what should you do? 1. Optimize Title tag and Meta description tag as per your Product page. 2. Use canonical tag also to avoide duplicate pages. Canonical tag is very use full for E-commerce websites. Before optimizing it read the google webmaster canonical guideline. 4. Kindly block the outdated pages using robots.txt file. This things you have to follow before updateing a page . Thanks&Regards Debjit
Im totally agree with seodebjit , but if there is no change after this, check your webmaster tools for warnings and mails from G. I am afraid that google penguin update is your main problem :S
Thanks a lot to Debjit for sharing their informative ideas...You must check your Google Webmasters tools, whether it is not showing any malware or crawl errors issues or you can consult your SEO Professional.
Yes 1st check you Google webmaster tools if the there is not any email then I am sure that this happen due the penguins update
If you see that your keywords ranking are coming down...You must check your webmaster tools whether you get any mail from Google...If you did not get mail...then you will hit by Google panda or penguin or check the quality of your outbound link which point to your website...
