    Hello,

I want to set up an online store for guitars, and I have read, that although I will be operating exclusively online, I need a business license and seller's permit. They say that I need to go to my county clerk and so on, but I am outside of the country, and will be making international sales. I am a temporary citizen of this country, and cannot work based form here. I am not able to go to CA to do this process. I'm not a rich person, you know. Is there any way, to, maybe do the process online, or do I have to do this in order to have this store?

You will need to follow the state and/or local laws of where you will be operating your business that apply to running an online business. They may not require a license until your site begins to turn a profit. If you are outside the country, why would you need a license?
