Hi guys I know someone that wants to set up a mini shop online, with a homepage and some categorys with images descriptions and payment options. Anyone know any decent shop software, as ive been looking on google for ages, and there are so many different ones, anyone reccomend something that they have used or any software that is really good ? ps i dont want anything with monthly fees, but dont mind paying for the software ! Woc
the most common is oscommerce however i personally dont like it. Prestashop is nice and easy to install and set up. The standard design is quite nice also so no need to buy a design. Another i have looked at is spritestore which looks like it will be a good up and coming script, however you have to pay to remove the copyrights.

Oscommerce is a surefire bet, it has thousands of free addons and a huge selection of templates for sale. You can customize it to the Nth degree and the templates that template monster has are phenomenal.
As I just got through posting in another thread here. It seems alot of people are leaning toward os-commerce, but I personally like zen-cart because it has alot of plugins and alot of free templates out there already made for free, must more than os-commerce does. Also, zen-cart can be intergrated very nicely, and comes custom to set up with paypal and several other top merchant account services. Yes ur site is very good shawn how did u create that ? as the basic zen cart template looks nothing like thats, it does seem there are lots of free bits of shopping software, you can even get it installed for you by some hosts. So thanks for everyones advice Woc
That particular zen cart modification took some time, but it is very nice template that we created for this. All our work is custom made. But, was just wanting to show you the extreme flexibilty that zen-cart offers, you can acheive this type of extreme template while maining the simple yet user friendly backend user admin panel that you are used to.
