    URL: http://www.mycoke.org

    Age of site (months): 5

    Monthly Profit: (Adsense) July 05 - $158.39, August 05 - $349.14, September 05 - $219.55, December 05 - ? (I haven't added adsense to the new forums, yet.)

Evidence: Screenshots of check, PM for details

Traffic details: Word of mouth, CokeMusic(www.mycoke.com), MyCoke Web Browser and other small freewebs established coke music fan sites.

    Community Opened: July 2005
Community Closed: End of September 2005

Community Reopened: End of November 2005

History of MyCoke.com (The site I am selling is MyCoke.org, a community for MyCoke.com):
I will give a brief history for those who don't know who or what MyCoke is. MyCoke.com is a site that is promoted by the Coca-Cola company. The site launched in 2002. I have been around since the launch date and before. I would consider myself to be pretty avid with the knowledge there is to know about MyCoke. When the site first originated it started out with the domain www.cokemusic.com. The site is a playground for teens ranging from 9 years old all the way to 16 year olds. Kids can visit the site and earn points which they can buy virtual furniture. Obviously, behind this site is a huge fan-base. While the number of registered users for the site is unknown it's probably in the 500k+ range. In July 2005, they changed their name to MyCoke.com.

    History of MyCoke.org
MyCoke.org opened July 1st, 2005. It closed around September, as college was around the corner I didn't have time for the responsibility to maintain the site anymore. The site's community goes all the way back to 2002 when CokeMusic first opened, site was undeveloped and tiny. As you can imagine as CokeMusic evolved so did the community.

MyCoke.com is basically the same as habbo hotel, it was also developed by the same people.

If you are curious on the realistic potential of this site check out the forum site for habbo hotel, www.habboforum.com.

Reason For Selling: I do enjoy running this site a ton! Running the site itself was a reward, the adsense earnings are nice too :). However, I have been involved with these online RPGs for way too long, I have a requist to forcefully move on, sadly. I have other hobbys that I am now gaining more interest in. As a result of these other intersts, I do not how time to run more than a couple sites at a time. I would probably have waited a month or two until this site has one again developed into a medium sized community, however, I am working on getting a new community launched in the next couple of weeks.

Highlights: Great Domain Name, Easy To Please Traffic

Other Notes: The arcade is a popular place! There has been a total of over 24 hours of playtime in the arcade over the course of one week.

    What included:
    www.mycoke.org - domain
    www.mycoke.org - site contents
    www.mycoke.org - mysql db backup
MyCoke Client Source Code and Binary
    vBulletin Owned License

MyCoke Client is a mini webbrowser that kids can use to have MyCoke's site at his or her fingertips. I had it developed for me on elance for about $300.
It was programmed in C#, I don't know a whole lot about programming but we did have to fix a few things to make it work properly. I used this program back in the day to gain a lot of traffic, it says it is made by www.mycoke.org. This attracts lots of visitors.

The site is currently running on a owned vbulletin license. I will transfer the current vBulletin license to the buyer, if this auction goes above $800.00.

As for advertising, you do not have to spend any money to gain users. The easiest way is by creating an account on mycoke.com and telling your site to people in the chat.

You may PM me or reply an offer. I will be offering this site on other forums as well. I will update the bid price if an offer is PMed or listed on another site and not replied.

    Starting Price: $600
Current Members: 100+ , you can easily except this number to grow! With almost no advertising more than 100 people joined within one week. By the time it's Christmas lots of kids will be playing on their computers so you traffic should increase greatly, as a result.
    Current Page Views (November 28th 2005 - December 5th 2005): 8,899 Page Views
Estimated Monthly Page Views: 35,000 to 40,000 Page Views
    Bandwidth Usage: less than 4gbs
Effort: Very little, the occassional moderation of the forums is suggestion to prevent trolling. A little bit of advertising to let the kids know that the site still exists and is up. One of the trusted moderators cleaned up and fixed up the MyCoke Client so it works better now. The only thing that will have to be done is to add the vBulletin adsense hack so the forums will display google ads.
Auction: Yes, however, I may sell this website at anytime.

    Received Bids: 2
    Current Bid: $800

I should've known better than to get sucked into a forum site.... for kids.... without credit cards. Now that I've had this site a while, I've pushed the traffic above what the previous owner had...

    Page views per day: 4,000
    Uniques per day: 300-400

And I can't monetize it at all. They don't click on Adsense and the page views dragged the rest of my account down with Smart Pricing... so I tried Chitika with X-Box, PS2, iPod, etc... very few clicks but it was better than Adsense.

Next I moved to Azoogle.. they have a Coke or Pepsi gift card offer. Maybe they're actually paying attention to the age limit or they just don't click on it... two leads from that in a few weeks. I've also tried ringtones and that has been a bust (one lead I think).

What haven't I tried? Of course, the Adsense earnings for this site were inflated when sold. It isn't a big deal as any community with a loyal following is a decent thing, but they sure are sucking the page views for little profit. Luckily I found an admin on the site who enjoys running it so it doesn't take any time.

Any ideas for monetization? Site is here.

Just so you know, page views have nothing to do with smartpricing, it's all about conversion.

Have you tried anything like the gamepass affiliate program? That might work, just an idea.
