Online Partners - Where do I find them?

    Hello Everyone,

You might of seen some of my posts recently about getting investment into my new website. I am now looking for a partner to join me in developing and building the website.

Where would be the best place to find a partner? Is DP's business section the best place?

    Thanks

    Jon

Yeah, DP is good but to find a reputable and responsible person is hard to do

To find any partner online is difficult. Frankly I do not recommend it at all, they can say they are ten foot tall and weigh 100 tons, you won't know the truth from the lies. For a partnership to be successful, you need to at least know the person. Best to search around your neighborhood or among the friends you have.

Exactly.. I totally agree with you
It is very difficult to find a partner online, you should find someone in ur locality( a webmaster) prolly that is the best idea

or be 100% with 1 u r going to partner that he is trusted person etc.. , get his phone number, meet him in person if possible

although this applies only if u investing huge amount

Well there are no webmasters in my local area, I have already looked into this option. I have seen many people gain good partners and investors online. And I am also looking for the same! And I need there funding and knowledge to help the project

Why not trying to contact admins from similar site to yours to become a partner with them?

I doubt they want to look after another one! I want to be able to get to know my partner

Then the best way is to look for friends who haven't had any web sites but is interested in the web business. If you do not have such friends, ask your friends to introduce you to their friends. Firstly you can get to know more friends, secondly, out of those friends you may find a good partner.

To be honest, DP is a great place, but it is not a good place to look for partners. It is a great webmaster forum and it served its purpose as such. For business partners, I sincerely doubt posting anywhere will help you get real good partners.

There definitely is, but do you trust someone if he just PM to you saying "Reliable investor" here?

Problem is as you say everyone has a scammer inside them, especially for online partnership, it is too prone to abuse. You might just be losing your investments and time....Look for Proximity or rather proximity in location, so that you can actually met up physically and discuss as it would be much easier for partners to be formed this way.

I was just giving my opinions on how to trust someone :)

I would suggest you find someone you know already in your office, community, etc and work out a deal
