I currently doing GDI (Link at my sig).. It's an online / offline online biz.. I wanna ask is there any online affiliate program similar to GDI ? I mean it's an online, too an offline biz..
Since tracking is already difficult online, adding another metric such as "real life" makes this process very convoluted and difficult to tell where traffic is coming from. They already try this with rebates, vouchers, mention "big eddy for a $5 discount with your purchase of...". The point is many people don't want to mention eddy, or notfy the brick and mortar store exactly how they found them. Maybe once the internet and reality merge more this tracking will be more reliable but until then it's difficult at best.
