Online music downloading and sharing site is it illegal ?

Hello I wanted to start a music sharing site where users can upload and share music and karaoke I live in USA. Can I get sue because of that?

 

Yeah it is illegal, but to be sure you should ask a lawyer first.

 

I just apply for adsense and they said

If the music being shared has a copyright from the original performer then yes, your site will create legal liability.

It's not a bad idea per-say, its just.. you need to execute it correctly.

 

This is may be because of Invalid clicks / impressions. Google can determine by using cookies and analyzing the activity from a single IP address. If getting repeated impressions / clicks from the same IP address.

 

Unless you have a written agreement from the original copyright owner, online sharing of music is illegal and is liable for legal action. It also depends on the legislations of the country from where you carry your work. In some countries, no one is really bothered about piracy.
