    Google Analytic s Tracking Module is a simple module for Joomla! 1.0. x. and Joomla! 1.5. These Joomla templates are used in Google Analytic s for tracking the code to the Joomla site as a module. This module makes it possible to add the tracking code before the closing body tag in template.



    The most standard website statistics are done through Google Analytic s. They provide data in a very one-dimensional format. This increases the website traffic.     Below are the steps that one needs to follow if they want to add Google Analytic s to Joomla



    � First, what you need to do is go to the Google Analytic s website and sign up for account.

    � After the registration process is followed you will be shown a page where you are given a tracking code to add to each page of your website. It is always better to chose new tracking code when compared to old tracking

    � You can keep this webpage open with the tracking code for sometime

    � The next step is to add the Analytic s tracking code to your Joomla template



    Adding the Analytic s tracking code to your Joomla website is a very easy process. You will have to do this through logging in to the administrator backend and editing your template's HTML.



    If you are using the following Joomla, which is 1.0.10, 1.0.11, 1.0.12, 1.0.13, 1.0.14 or 1.0.15 do the following:



    � Log on to: www.yourparticularsite.com/administrator/

    � In the menu select: yourparticularsite - Template Manager - Site Templates

    � Then what you need to do is, select the template which is marked as default and then click on Edit HTML



    In Joomla 1.5



    If you are using Joomla 1.5, 1.51 does follow this process.



    � Log on to: www.yourparticularsite.com/administrator/

    � In the menu select: Extensions - Template Manager

    � Now, you will have to select the template which is marked as default and click Edit

    � In the template edit page, you can click Edit HTML



    Adding the code within the template



    After following the above steps, you should now be looking at your template's HTML.



    � What you need to do is, Scroll right down to the bottom of all this code


    � On the second to bottom line you will see the following tag

    � Now, paste your Google Analytic s tracking code just before this tag

    � Now, the next step would be, press save and Google Analytic s is installed on your website!
