Online marketing guru wanted for BeautyBrief.com. The primary responsibility will be to migrate our publication from subscription-based, to an ad revenue model. Ongoing duties will include maximizing ad income, traffic development and search engine optimization. The candidate, preferably a female with a broad understanding of cosmetics, should ideally have several years experience in marketing and promoting online periodicals. Knowledge of Joomla would be an asset. Compensation will be in the form of commission on total revenue. That's not true in the slightest. The best usually work for the largest firms or major corporations, work their way up to some kind of chief, VP, or partner type of position, and make a lot more than most of the best who work for themselves - not saying there aren't a few doing better on their own. But you definitely won't find someone in the wrong area of the forum, especially if you think a real professional in marketing is going to work on commission basis. If you're just looking for someone for basic online promotion, check the services area and post there, or see if anyone has posted similar services they're offering. Jenn
Come on man that's a bit harsh - everyone makes mistakes! I'm with Jen though, its very unlikely that an expert would be interested in commission. Everyone is trying to grab part of the pie nowadays, so earning an income is more important than the potential of earning income through profit. I'm not a marketing expert - but I have tons of ideas on how to market a website, that I am implementing myself on my business, and I'd be willing to share some of these ideas - but then I'm not a woman
