    StartupWarrior.com is an interactive map of startups and tech companies. I built this site in 2008 as a mashup of Google Maps and CrunchBase, before CrunchBase had maps of its own. The site still works, but is not being actively maintained. It receives somewhere between 3 and 15 visitors per day. It's the first result on Google for "startup map"

    The site is written in Ruby on Rails (Rails 2.3.2, but could easily be updated to 2.3.12). The data was gathered from CrunchBase using a custom scraper which will need to be updated for the new CrunchBase layout.

    With some effort, this site could be much more. Someone who knows Rails should update the scraper and refresh the site data, add a job board, etc.

    The site is hosted on Heroku on the free plan, and so costs nothing to run.

    No revenue, the site doesn't have ads.
