I've just created an online magazine, which has the broad categories of Travel, Food, Technology and Lifestyle. However, the articles are going to be quite varied in terms of their content and on-page SEO. How can I determine which keywords to optimize for? At the moment, I haven't done any specific keyword analysis and for backlinks, I use general anchor text like "Australia Magazine", for example, and even vary those. My strategy is to just write or find articles and try and get more long tail keyword traffic specific to articles and keep backlinking from like minded sites. Is this a valid method? See here i will not provide any specific keywords but here i have tried to give best possible solution for your keyword research practice and organizing best keyword group for your website - Try to use generalized keywords in home page ( here you can use keywords like online magazine, Australia magazine etc..) - do keyword grouping for each category.. lets say online magazine (group : online magazine, online magazine subscription, buy magazine online..etc..) - Write content by keyword grouping and try to optimize the meta accordingly.. - do competitor analysis.. you will find many keywords and other information from those sites..
