Hi, This will be my first thread on DP and hope I eventually contribute a lot of good advice. I understand a few million people are in my shoes but would like to send out a "feeler" anyhow. I am looking for a full time telecommute opportunity to make atleast / around $150 a day working any which way. Work could be anything from online journalism to data entry. $150/day is not a problem for freelance. Last time during recession,i get some project consist of web design/SEO/programming and it earn me at $200+/day. The only thing is you need to show the quality job to client.

$150/day can be a major problem if all you know how to do is data entry. For a web designer / SEO specialist / programmer (or any other skilled worker for that matter) it's obviously not an issue but if we're talking about unskilled labour then with the hords of Filipinos going at $4/hour I would never pay a monthly salary of $3,300 ($150x22) for someone who doesn't have something very valuable to offer me. @OP: Your best bet is to look around several forums (such as this one), decide what you want to do, master it and specialize. Looking for gigs based on the amount of money they pay (as opposed to what the gig is about) will get you nowhere.
Hi and thanx for the advice guys, As you have all pointed out it seems that finding a well paid job in an unspecialized sector is going to be difficult. I am a good writer and take pride in my work. For this reason I may take a little longer than others who dont pay attention to the finer details and subtleties. It is therefore a pity that a lot of people are willing to work for peanuts which makes it harder for the rest of us. It isnt entirely about finding a project that pays the highest amount however but it is important to be paid for the quality you produce. If I dont start seeing results soon, perhaps I will have to further my education on the big 3. A. Hayes.
Simple, mundane tasks like data entry will be very low paid (mainly because there are people out there willing to work for peanuts) meaning reaching your target would take more hours than there are in th day! Try to differentiate yourself from the people working for peanuts - you need to do the jobs they aren't really suitable for.
