Hi, we want to have ads on our website. It's a free online soccer manager game. Last month we had nearly 2 million pageviews, 50,000 visits and 6,000 unique visitors (google-analytics). However most of the unique visitors visit our website once and over 90% of the visits is done by some 1,200 visitors which is the number of registered users. They spend some 15-30 minutes on the website and pretty much make up the 2 million pageviews a month. Majority of them sign in daily. Also since you can't put ads on a introductory page, these would be the only one seeing them in-game. If I understand this correctly this would generate high number of impressions. How does the fact that it's just a few people affect the revenue? I know the amount of clicks will be low, but what about CPM? Should it be low because of the low amount of people actually seeing them? We can test it ourselves but we also work on other streams of revenue and the AdSense implementation would require a slight redesign so we'd like to know if we should set it as a priority. Thanks
If most of the traffics are coming from social media sites then they don't convert good and these kinds of traffics are not good for Adsense!
have you thought instead about adding a donation button or premium account option? If you have loyal players and you create a way that things will be easier for people with this premium account people will buy.
it's not worth adding adsense - you're not gonna make a lot of money and also players may be bothered by this so the user experience quality may drop
