Online gambling addiction

Hi,

I'm sure there are other people on this forum who have got an addiction to online gambling. It's not very nice - I've know for a long time that I have a gambling problem (since i was about 17 i think - im 21 now), but only now have I really tried to tackle it.

Being a student with not a lot of money it is a serious issue (especially with my girlfriend' b-day coming up! - expect some sites for sale soon!)

Anyway I am confronting this slightly embarrasing problem and am happy to receive pm's from anyone in the same position. Obviously I will be treating them with absolute confidence as i understand it can be embarrassing.

It cost me $34 but I have spent over $200 in the last two days so it seems pretty cheap.

I had this same problem and I am very glad I have not gambled once for five years now.

 

Yeah I'm online poker and such free for going on 2 years now.

Thankfully, gambling is the one thing I can participate in and actually know when to quit. However, when it comes to drinking and drugging it's a different story. AA helped me immensely, and I still frequent online groups. Maybe http://www.gamblersanonymous.org/ will help you.

Never had an online gambling addiction. But yes, I had a real-time gambling addiction. I visited all the casinos of all hotels and spent a lot of money. LOL

 

You pay for those things with a credit card right ? Why don't you just give up
your credit card for a year or so until you're not hooked anymore ?

 

Yeah, its tough, but possible... I once won like $2,000 at Intercasino... walked away with the cash and a smile on my face and blocked their email, since they are dying to get me back to their site and having me gamble again
