Selling Online Furniture Shop - Dropshipping

Hi all,

Bit of information about the site:

We used to sell furniture on it using suppliers that were able to send out single items. We used a courier (XDP) to ship items directly from the suppliers to our customers. Why did we stop? Went from online to an offline shop where local people can order items. This worked out better for us and gave us little time to continue the site really.

Margin roughly: 25%

Advertising used: Google adwords, Google Base, other shopping websites where you can upload product feeds on. We also used senukeX.

Most sales came through from shopping sites such as google shopping. So for those interested you'll have to use those and make sure you keep your product feeds updated.

Security badges have expired since we obviously stopped paying for them

Roughly 2500 products on the site. Ranging from small lamp tables to full bedroom sets. Sales were between £800 and £2000 a day. Proof can be provided to those interested by pm or by creating a login to our back office.

Site is in catalogue mode as we won't have time to process orders.

No stock so no warehouse needed. Orders are put through online with the suppliers. Only time you will hold stock is when an item gets returned.

Google analytics stats can be seen (you will be added to our account so you can have a closer look as well)

Started in early 2012 and stopped early this year.

I would be interested but nowhere near $3K its basically turnkey, no traffic, no revenue, so SEO or backlink profile etc ?

 

Selling cheaper cause we haven't been using the site for months but can guarantee the steady income if you keep the feeds etc up to date and make sure your prices are good (we were always one of the cheapest ones on Google Shopping for example)

3k starting bid for this site is basicly nothing. You will recieve help for the first few months so it's all up and running and money comes in.

Feeds are generated using a module (some editing is required for the new Google Base requirements)

 

Is the supplier a reputable company?

 

They are all reputable (there's 7 in total) Orders are put through online, payment can be done over the phone. So for those wondering: you will need a physical address where bills get sent to etc! But that should be pretty obvious i guess haha.

They are not classed as dropshippers or anything either. It's basicly just you placing an order, then putting the delivery through to the courier who will pick it up (and supply a tracking number) goes to customer and voila.

 

Are the companies credentials visible on the product packaging?

 

The only thing that is visible on the packaging is the details from the sender (us) and the reciever. Though sometimes with the rugs for example there could be a tag left on from the supplier.

 

What's the profit margin?

 

It's different for everything obviously but as stated in my first post it's roughly 25%. Ranging between 20-28 depending on the supplier and current price on google shopping etc (prices will have to be changed every so often)
