Are there any problems with people working with/for me if they are from a different State (I'm from United States)?
Well, I guess it depends on what exactly they will be doing for you and how you are paying them. If hourly, I guess it could be easier for them to fudge their hours but if it per project basis or per product sold or whatever, shouldn't be that big of a deal. You might also want to look into tax laws and what not, but again, this all depends on what exactly they will be doing for you. In general I don't see how it would be that much different than if they were working for/with you in the same room.
There are no problems, just hire them as a freelancer (unless you want to pay for benefits, and what not ). Are you talking about outsourcing outsite of the states? or inside?
Yep, also try to appoint the dedicated one rather than those doing lot of other jobs. Don't pay advance.
Just pay on a per project basis. As independent contractors you do not have to worry about all the rules and regulations associated with employees.
This is an interesting question, How do you deal with taxes, legalization to work and all that stuff? Or do you treat each of them as independent contractors?
Hi! I don't see that you have a choice. Independent contractor is the only way to go for a small-time operator. If you start talking *real employees* in several different countries..there is no telling how much paperwork would be involved. It seems clear to me: Independent contractor Bryon
I don't see any problem in getting people to work from you from outside the US, as long as you regularly communicate with them to see what they've done and you see 'work' being done or results being produced.
