Does anyone know of a GOOD contact manager? I used to use Outlook for everything but have switched to Google Services, but I HATE how it adds everyone I send an e-mail to to my address book. (If any of them can, for example, tie into GMail, that's a major plus) All suggestions appreciated
I am still using MS Outlook, have tried quite a few options in the past until I realised they weren't worth switching to. So I'd stay with Outlook If were to choose.
MS outlook is a good one. Google seems too proud of its search options, so actually it is always happy to mess up the informations so that you could "search" the one you need.
Actually if i'm not mistaken you can setup your gmail account as a POP3 account. This would allow Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express to access your gmail account. I'm not 100% on this, nor have I ever done it. But I thought I saw in the options the other day that this was possible. Another option is just to forward your email to another email which you can access in Outlook. Most web hosting sites allow for POP3 accounts for sure. So it should be possible to at least recieve some email from outlook, it just may not be the most ideal method.
I like the GMail interface.. that it is on the web, and it is fast and I can find e-mails quickly. I just hate that there is no TODO or GOOD contact list, yet..
