Well I'm enrolled at a near by college and have 4 online classes. Introduction to information systems (this class is a joke) and my basics, math, english, and science. I havn't gotten my math book yet, but I took my first quiz last night it was stupid. Talking about symbolism and paralell universes. I have 4 assignments due tommarow, kind of sucks but I missed the first 4 days of class so that's what i get.

Is anyone else enrolled in online classes and what are your experiences in them compared to normal classes. This is my first year of college as I took off a year after highschool. So i don't have anything to compare it to, but so far it looks like it will be easy if I can stay dedicated.

I do not recommend them. Learning often takes place "in between the lines," where nuances, discussions, additional support are all available, care of the community physically present in the college environment. You will miss all that staying at home on your computer.

Buy a backpack, stuff it with books, and get thee to a lecture hall.

i think online classes are garbage, or maybe i just dont have the will power to log in each day and check out the class and assignments. I took some c++ courses online and i hated it.

The main plus I see is the college I'm going through is 2 hours away from where i'm living, and I don't want to relocate yet because of the job I have. Next semester I don't think i'll be able to do all online classes so I'll probably have to move, but I am considering a move from Oklahoma to Florida. Relocating was my selling point on the online courses. I have I think 32 credits already from concurrent enrollment through-out highschool. I took several college courses while I was still in highschool, so I should have my associates next semester.

Online classes have on advantage: no driving through crap weather to campus. I take the easy classes in online form and pull a few late nighters to get the majority of it done.
