I'm planning to make a online arcade games website. Has Anybody on this forum had any success making some good money with this niche, because I've heard tha this niche has a low payout per click?
It takes a ton of traffic to make money with an arcade. Expect to see clicks that are worth only a few cents.
My two buddies work in the arcade gaming niche and are making $xxx/day, so it can be done, but without the traffic they wouldn't be making a dime.
I have arcades and I get steady traffic also on it. Many people do return for playing games again and again. But the payout is less and bandwidth consumption is overwhelming.
You need one heck of a lot of traffic. I run Echoarcade.com. It grabs around 2000UV per day, but only pulls on average $6 a day from adsense. -You need to optimize your adsense and perfect it -Use adsense search -Use another ad thingy that won't break the google adsense rules to pull more money. -Sell sitewide links... -And any other ways possible. Adsense alone is poor profit for arcades.
