Ongoing PR Problem with Main Page

    Okay...

For privacy sake, I am not providing a direct link but this has been going on now for a few months and I can't figure out what is going on.

If you visit my site, www.domain.com, the Google Toolbar reads "N/A". If you got the google and search "www.domain.com" it will not show any results just the standard "click here for sites that link to here, click here for the url, etc".

Now, if you go to www.domain.com/forums I get a PR of 6. If you do a check of PR from any of the number of tools and datacenter checks, it will reflect 6. However, I have reason to believe that the 6 is being referenced not from the main page, but by the /forums directory.

For a LONG time, I used to redirect my main page to the forums, but in the last 12 months or so, I have not done this and maintain a main page.

Google indexes nearly 190,000 pages from my site and it does "cache" the main page of the site if you search for specific terms and the cahce is never more than a day or two old. Google loves me to death and sends me lots of people daily. For my main keyword, I rank 8... it would be hard to get much higher considering my competition.

I run adwords, adsense, the whole works. It is like a match made in heaven. But... my main page... seems to just be ignored. Google shows 6,540 pages linking in. I show PR 6 in the "Directory".

So... maybe it is just a toolbar issue, I don't know... but still doesn't explain when you type in www.domain.com it doesn't list my site, while all my other sites, it does.

    Any thoughts or feedback?
