Hi all, I launched http://www.aussietravellersforum.com.au nearly a year ago, with the aim of targeting Aussies who travel both within Aus, and around the rest of the World. After one year, im still getting virtually nil traffic. Only getting about 30 - 50UV per day, despite heaps of various promotion. Get about 7UV per day from search engines, and the rest from various other sources. There is heaps of unique content, its updated regularly, i use twitter, and other social media, Adwrods etc etc yet still cant get my visitors up to my initial target of 100UV per day. Any ideas?
There is no problem with the design of your forum. It looks good. Nice theme. May be you need to promote and communicate your message properly to the right audience.
If what you're doing right now isn't showing results, then you most likely need to change your methods and start to promote your site in different ways. Come up with a new, improved marketing plan for the following year.
Nice kool forum, for traffic join some forums and comment on them regularly and also comment on some sites of your nitch.
As usual for this site, all the responses are generic and do not offer and actual advice or tips. How did you increase your traffic? Dont just say 'SEO', give details. I know what needs to be done, its the application im struggling with.
please...try to be polite no one have an obligation with you, it is difficult to say what is wrong as we don't know what are you doing, and what did you do for SEO and promoting. As far as I can see: The url's of your forums are no friendly, that don't hurt and don't help too. you have no page rank, and the link you have in the page link are flat, and with little value... as I can see you have no hit for search from google nor yahoo, so you have not keyworks driving traffic to your site...think the keyworks and after optimise your site for that... you said you have online the site for a year, but the design look pretty elemental and with work over it (that is only a design stuff it doen't affect SERP nor SEO) regards
Looks to me like you have a great site. Maybe change a few colors but it looks like a winner. It just needs time to build content and this will bring the users.
If you want traffic i suggest buying some links on some websites, submitting to directories, submitting to social networking websites and make sure you add content as Content Is King.
Your forum website is nice enough to attract visitors ,you need to start promoting it again at regular basis...you can take advice from an seo consultant...
From what I can see, you need to change template colour. Use more travel design colour, white in the background didn't attract much attention.
It is a good site, I had a look at your meta tags... Is it possible you are targetting the wrong keywords? let the spiders pick up on the content... You sharpen your keyword focus.
Yeh i think that may be a slight problem. Basically i want the site to be a destination for anything and everything related to predominatly Australians who travel
Nice site, try to use right words for it (only you know the right words for your site) and make some marketing link exchange on other websites of travels
An advice, I built a popular website based on CMS first and attracted around 10KUV+ per month. After that (now) I am thinking of creating a forum. I think it helps to have a sub site. Maybe you try and build some subsites first.
may be you can make the signatures do follow ,people looking for backlinks may join the forum and not only make posts but can also promote your forum
i have a few aussie sites myself for lead generation in the aus mortgage industry. i like your site, maybe we should link up
