Now that's something interesting I've noticed. I have started my blog ( http://cashcook.info ) about a week ago, take or add a day or two. Have done little promotion, have around 20 indexed pages, of course no Pagerank. Anyway, I was checking search terms that reached my blog, and here what I see: http://www.google.co.il/search?hl=e...fficial&hs=I10&q=adsense+high+ctr&btnG=Search For the term "Adsense high ctr" - quite a wide search term, with 172k search results, and I rank number one. Next site under me is PageRank 4. Now that's really wierd, because most of the backlinks I have been building from submitting to directories have not appeared yet, and the only backlinks I know of are from digg and from del.icio.us. Can it be that just with on-page optimization I have ranked higher then PageRank 4 websites?
Its probably because that particular keyword has not very strong competitors http://www.nichewatch.com/adsense_high_ctr.html
yes mong is true, if completion is low for any keywords than it can easily get ranking.i have one my site got the ranking within 3 days but competition was only 60000. btw good work.
How is the traffic? If you are getting Good traffic then You are Lucky and yes On page optimization is very powerful way to get your website on the top, and you are doing exactly the same.
Errr its wrong way to know about competition. This figure shows 'popularity' but not competition. Here is the fine difference between popularity and competition. 1)There could be 10k pages about widget xyz but all of them have no backlinks at all. {popularity but no competition} 2)There could be 15 pages about widget xyz but all are PR7. {here is competition though there are only 15 pages to beat but not easy }
For now I had only two hits from this search term, but the page was only indexed today, so I should see what happens tomorrow, after stats update.
