Text: JTL Transcription Colors: White Background; A mix of sky blue and black for the text/symbols. Style: Professional, corporate. No cartoons, 3d fonts, wacky symbols etc. I would like the text to be accompanied by some sort of creative symbol; for an example click here. Don't stick too rigidly to the above; I want you to be creative but please don't stray too far away from these guidelines. The site is for a professional transcription service (converting audio files into text) - you can try to incorporate that into that logo but it is not essential. Contest will run for a week unless I see the perfect logo before that time. For this site in particular, I think $50 is higher than the average contest so if the quality of entries is of a poor standard I reserve the right to cancel the contest. Thank you.

Thank you both for your submissions. Sorry to say, neither meet the level of quality, professionalism or innovation that I require. I'm looking for actual designers to have a go rather than Photoshop amateurs (I'm reasonably competent at Photoshop myself but I'm looking for something a little bit more special than the average novice can produce). To anticipate an objection to this; I realise that companies may spend in excess of a few hundred dollars on a corporate logo but I have seen designers on here creating logos that I deem 'quality work' for less than the amount offered. I hope this doesn't come across as me being patronising or derogative - I feel it's better to say this than let people waste their time who have no chance of winning the contest. I hope to see more submissions. Thanks
No web 2.0-shadows, text gradients and all that sort of thing please.. Clean, flat text will suffice. This is for a business, to be used on document headers, business cards etc., not a video-game website..
You don't need to post that. It states clearly in the title 'One Week Contest'. Carlita.. best so far by a long shot, the closest to what I've asked for.
I have to be honest guys.. Anyone can write 'JTL' and add a gradient. The only entry I've liked so far is Carlita's, and I can't even offer any real feedback on the rest other than to say that if that's the best you can do then fair enough but you should probably save your time for another contest because you won't be getting picked in this one. All entries so far, except the one mentioned, I could have done myself in ten minutes on Photoshop so I'm certainly not going to be paying $50 for any of them. Please also note that PM entries will be ignored. New entrants needed.
