Ok I got a question about landing pages that will use ppc traffic. Which kind of lander do you guys think will get more clicks to the merchant? Option #1 The transition Step 1. Title: Tell them you have some tips for them to hook them in to your site. Step 2. Then give them the tips as best as you possibly can Step 3. Use the tips to ease your way into promoting the product. Eg. "I have only run into one true course that implaments all these tips and more to the readers success. " I know that was pretty bad but you get the point. Step 4. then start to list all the great benefits about the product you know the whole 10 yeards like normally. Step 5. Give them the link. OR Option #2 Straight forward Step 1. This is the normal landing page. You know you tell them you reviewed everything in the market and these are the only products that work for sure blah blah blah Step 2. List them the products with their qualities and do that all like a normal landing page. Like the second seems more simple and better but what about the the fact that thier are people who will immediately jump off when they hear product with out looking at the benefits. BTW making the first option to flow and work all together is a bitch. It is hard to make it look naturally flowing but i think that is also where there could be alot more conversions to make. What about a hybrid of the two maybe that might work also. Why dont you guys give your opinions? Thanks
I'd go for the second, because I'm lazy .. However there is no right answer, it depends on the crowd looking at your product, the niche, and the product itself. The only right answer would be to do both, and split test the landing page to see which one converts better.
^^^ this is true but what about from your perspective. As in: which one would you like as a visitor. And which one do you favor as an affiliate? and why? I know you should do split tests and etc. But i just want to see which one you guys do favor. For example ripped likes the second option because hes lazy.
as I said, it depends, if your're promoting a health product for example, you can do a story-like presell page in which you describe the problem and write a story of how the product has helped you i.e try to connect with the visitor on an emotional product. If you're promoting something more general, like energy products, you might do a review of three popular products, one of which is a clear winner among the three, and state the pros and cons of each page. Again, there is no right way, it all comes down to testing what works best.
i agree with the split test comment ... and also that it depends very much on your niche ... my thoughts are your review page would work well for someone who is already intending to purchase, while your first style would work better for a browser who could be turned into a buyer ... the first style might work better for bum than for ppc though ... beauty is with ppc you can split test
