The original recording of Neil Armstrong's moon walk is... uh... missing. Apparently, it was stored in the national archives until some time in the 1970's when they decided to hand the tapes back over to NASA for some unknown reason. The folks at NASA have literally been looking for the tapes for over a year, but still are trying to offer a glimmer of hope that they still might find them. They are currently looking for the paperwork that might tell them where the tapes were stored last... (you would think that might have been something they tried to find sometime in the first 12 months of searching) http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/08/14/space.tapes.reut/index.html
Hummmm. Maybe it was fake! If they don't find the tapes this time around, there is gonna be no stopping people from confirming that trip to be fake
