From one large rectange. Still only like 15 clicks a day, and getting about a dollar a click?! Now my other main site gets over 25,000 hits a day, and over 6,000 uniques.....and the ad is in the same place as my other site, both are gaming sites. Like 50 clicks a day, but only like 7 cents a click.. what gives? This site only makes like 1-5 bucks a day.... Why is this? Can anyone give me some advice on why my unpopular site earns me so much more than my very popular site thats growing everyday? The bandwidth is already straining and i fear I might need to upgrade to a dedicated host, but for this I need revenue... This site earning me 1-4 bucks a day is not enough to pay for a dedicated server... Can someone please help? Do colors and how much an ad stand out increase your earnings per click? Or does it MAINLY depend on which ads are are displaying? If I change the colors on my main site so they stand out a lot more and place it at the top left of every page on my site, will that earn me more? Like with my unpopular site? SORRY FOR ALL THE questions! Wall-of-Text FTL..but I really need help because I keep trying and the earnings keep staying the same, and even getting lower.. while my hits are increasing!.. What the... I am confused...
better get some affiliate banners which are about ps3,playstationthat will gain you alot more than those clicks
Most traffic is from google. Both sites are SEO heavy. Also the not so trafficed one is a year old while my more popular one is only a few months old. I think you're right though, I just checked in the google tool thing, the advertiser competition for the smaller sites keyword is HUGE, but the competition for my popular sites keyword is 0. This is it isnt it? I should instead make sites that have the highest advertiser competition in the google keyword tool?
Yeah, its a little tougher to get the traffic but it pays a lot better for adwords. If your site is getting a lot of traffic in a low paying niche, you might consider another ad network that pays per 1,000 impressions
I used to have a website about SEO and another one about debt consolidation which I sold. The later paid better with an average of $0.40 per click. Whereas the SEO site paid only about $0.05 per click. With way better traffic to the debt consolidation site, it generates me quite some revenue. It looked like SEO was one of those low paying keywords... but maybe it was just me.
