one simple wordpress question

  1. #1
    well for past 2 hours i a messing my head on simple wordpress problem. I am installing a plugin. I have uploaded it , activated it. But i am not getting the last instruction

    "Go to the options panel under the 'Plugins' menu and add your Analytics account number and set the settings you want."


    where is the option panel? I cant locate this option. I am using version 2+ . any help?

    you could also just add it into the actual page code itself, then you exaclty where it is.
    although if your confident altering code that i would try get that plugin working to avoid any mistakes

    Try "settings" as you may have a newer version of Wordpress than the plugin was written for.

    goto themes, edit themes, open footer.php and add the google analytic code just before </body>

    How I remember - this is now under General Settings and there is special Tab for this Plugin.

    Seems like your plugin was not updated for the newest versions of WordPress as the menu system has changed recently. Most of your plugins should now be located under "Settings" menu. Find your plugin there and you get the plugin options there.
