I bought a domain from go daddy. Before that i used to deal with onlinenic.com
In godaddy control panel it is written that 'Domain status ACTIVE:LOCED'

on right hand side. And it also has a hyperlink saying unlock.

Can anyone explain me. what is it and what should i do???

You should leave it locked. This prevents anyone from initiating a tranfer. If you need to change DNS etc, just unlock it long enough to do so :)

Some people like the security feature of GD,
but to me it's abit annoying to receive notifications from GD
every time I (un)lock my domain, or change DNS setting, etc.
