Hi, I registered a domain with keywords http://www.uphillrush2.com for a game site and getting the first page on google. However, I only have one page. I am just worried google will not like this way. Will google ban me or put me in the spammed list? Please suggest. Thanks.
You're fine with one page as long as the one page in question helps the visitor with whatever they're looking for. If they search for uphill rush 2 and get uphill rush 2, one page is fine.
I don't see any reason why google should ban you for that. But keep in mind that number of pages is one of many on-page factors which have impact on the website position in search results. Additionally, with more subpages you can easily target for long tail keywords while with one page you are very limited.
I believe that one page should do OK. Make sure you provide enough info on that page so that it's worth Google indexing it (rather than putting it int he supplemental index)- eg 3-4 paragraphs minumum, headings and subheadings using h1-h6 tags. Make the info unique info (ie don't copy from other sites) and build up some backlinks to your page.
You may go down the ranking in few days but then surge back to top in few weeks. However why not add a few para of content and get few backlinks to be on the safer side. You got a nice .com domain
Well,although google will not ban you for your one page website,how can you get an ideal rank with only one page? I can't imagine that website with one page can be a good one and can be useful or attractive.It'll not welcome for search engine.So make your website more pages and various so that it can become more popular in a long run.
Since your ranking high for your single page, try to add more pages that would benefit your site as well as your visitors. Big G won't penalize your site for having a one page site, but as the saying goes, "The more, the merrier".
