One Page 1 in Yahoo but nowhere to Be Seen in Google

My site is ranked 3rd on page one in Yahoo but nowhere to be found in Google for the same keywords.

How do I go about getting my site to a similar spot in Google? My competitors have less inbound links than me so I am left wondering why my site isnt on the same page.

Google and Yahoo rank sites quite differently in my experience. Sometimes one site has a similar position on both search engines for the same keyword, but sometimes they are wildly different in position. All you can do is keep adding links and eventually you'll improve for the keyword.

 

Google can take much longer to rank in. I can generally get good rankings in Yahoo within 2-5 months but in Google it can take sometimes twice as long.

Googles standards are way different than yahoo, usually for the better
