Hello, one my videos (for danceorigin.com) ranks #1 for a search term of mine. I don't care if the video is up (since it ranks #1) All I want is credit for it... my link in the description.

    More info:
The video was not uploaded by me
The video is old and has my old url in it so I gain nothing

    What should I do?
How do I prove that I own the video? (its my feet in it lol...)
What steps do I take to get it changed or removed?

The easiest thing would be to send a message to the Youtube user requesting that they provide a link to your site or a credit line of your choosing. If that fails then you'll have to go the DMCA route. Having your site URL (even if it has changed) in the video itself should be good proof, if you can show you owned the site. Alternatively the original copy of the video would also count as proof.

This is your best bet. And you should also contact the person who uploaded the video and tell them that if they don't take it down immediately, you will pursue them legally and make sure that Google/YouTube follows through as you've already notified them about the infringing content. It should go down quickly.

Good luck and glad your video is doing so well.

Simply contact them, seriously. I think they must have found the video really good and so wanted to share it with others!

I absolutely agree with Sunny210 but want to change one word:

You must contact the person who uploaded the video and tell that if he dont remove the video , legal action WILL be taken...
