    one of my directories is hacked and is pointing to a porn site what should I do

    What are the steps to be taken.

    I just informed my hosting company.

    made it so, the band width is exceeded so, no one can see the site.

    Any suggestions and or help is appreciatged.

    The bandwidth issue may prevent your doing this.

    Log into your control panel and check for redirects. If there are none showing, it is your server and not your site that has been hacked.

    On the same server I have other sites which did not get effected.

    So, it must be that site.

    I did not see any redirects. And I made the site to re-direct to a file in a new folder I created.

    It worked for a minute and then it started to back to the original index file.

    Any help is appreciated.
