My dreamhost was down earlier today! I'm on the rocstar server.
I'm getting pretty tired of their uptime (or should I saw downtime?), so I'm planning of moving my site next week.

Apart from their meltdown last year, which they fully admitted to and as a result spent $$$$$$ to fix, I've never had a problem with them. Pretty much all the sites you can run for $10/mo - it's been a good deal for me.

(PM me for a coupon code to save the setup fee if you'd like)

Well, I'd definitely recommend HostGator for their stability and reputation.

Check some real HostGator Coupons and Reviews by DP users if interested.

Dreamhost promise you the world with those ridiculously high bandwidth packages but they catch you out with CPU usage. I know of several new webmasters who have had issues with dreamhost.

Honestly the way the web is going I wouldn't be surprised if shared hosting packages don't start looking like, 5000 MB space, 1% CPU usage.

I can vouch for Hostgator, before I started using dedicated servers they were a solid host.
