One "master site" or lots of "minisites"?

    Hi,

I wonder if people have an opinion on this? Is it better to have several minisites (eg like those recently being sold by PopeDope), one for each product you're promoting, or to link everything together under one "master site" with similar branding etc?

With a master site I believe the idea is that because you eventually have a large site, with lots of content and hopefully backlinks, you will be seen by Google as having some "authority", and may get higher ratings in the SERPS.

But then again there's maybe a risk that a potential buyer will have too many escapes from the landing page, which is less likely with a minisite which consistently funnels the punter to the publisher's sales page.

Any thoughts or experiences you'd like to share?

    Cheers
    Zander

The choice is up to you.

I own one master website: www.moneymakinglibrary.net
The most visitors comes from google.

With a master site you must do a lot more seo. Because you have different kind of products on your website.

I hear you, right now, u are hiding in a hole and watching outside the hole and feels like there is a big big thing outside, just come out and try it, there is nothing outside.

A big or small site, it doesn't matter, what matter is something else.
