Lets say I have to describe some product and it's features. Each feature takes about 50-100 words and 3-4 images. What would be better from SEO point of view? 1. Make one huge "Product Description" page with 2500-5000 words and 150-200 images. 2. Make individual pages for each feature. It will be 50 small pages with 100 words and 3-4 images Some of my thoughts: Pros for #1 - I would prefer visitors from search engines to land on the product page, not on some small page that need another click to main product page. - If someone just want to read about the product, he don't need to click 50 times and visit 50 pages. Cons for #1 - Page is way to big (with all images) and takes a lot of time to load. Cutting the page in 5 parts will degrade user experience.
You'll want to stick with plan #2, and here's why ... Google ranks pages, and not entire websites as a whole. So if you try and stuff all your product keywords into 1 giant page, you'll never be able to outrank more specialized pages for that particular keyword. Also, you say that its a con for people to click, it's actually a pro. Everytime a person clicks through your website, that decreases your bounce ratio, which then increases your SEO quality score. You want people to click through your site, and not just buy from the landing page. The more involved people are, the better. Plan #2 definitely is more reasonable... Good Luck, Marc
