While looking at a WTS a website thread, Almost everyone will be willing to see the website live. While there is almost every important information in the website info panel, there is no link to preview the website. Even sellers sometimes forget to add a link in the thread, or if they they do it remains pretty much hidden in a garbage of decorated text. However there is a domain name displayed in the website information panel, clicking it will open another domain lookup page and not the actual website. And above all, it is very tough to select and copy the domain name from that panel (probably due to tabled structure and left to right alignment) so if the website name is too long and complicated, typing it in address bar is frustrating and is prone to errors. How about adding a "View Website" link below the display of the domain name in domains and websites sections? I guess a lot of other domainers always wanted this feature.
You know you can hold the SHIFT key when you click the link (or whatever modifier you have set for your browser), right?
No no no, What I meant was that there should be a "visit this website" option (link or button, preferably nofollow and opens in a new tab) in the sales data of a WTS thread in Websites and Domains sections. Currently some thread starters provide links in the thread itself, which is many times tough to find between decorated text and link ads. And most sellers forget to provide a link (and when they remember it's too late to edit), in which case we have to select the domain name from sales data (which is very tough to select because of the table structure and its alignment) and copy paste it in address bar. It should be a very simple but very useful tweak for DP, I guess. P.S. I use middle click to open links in new tabs (Click the scroll wheel while mouse is over a link), which is much more handy than using the keyboard and mouse combination. P.S.S. I returned after a long time : ) P.S.S.S. 9 Edits.
I concur, there should be a such feature. Also the website iframed with the sale details on the top, like Flippa.
No please! When I open such a link in flippa, the first thing I do is to remove the iframe. A website opened in iframe does not reveal its pagerank, alexa and other webmaster details to my firefox tools. If I have click opened a website it means I am interested in observing it closely. Like in flippa, I can not see the favicon, title, pagerank, alexa and other info until I remove the iframe. And what is the need to open it in iframe with sales data when the page I came from itself contains all sales data.
