Evry case is difrent .. Some do well with 1-2 sites Others do with 100+ Me for exemple i'm trying to have 5-7 sites
I think people that run 100+ sites pretty well are people that have automated the process and garner pretty good results.
I have 10 websites (non proxy websites) they are all .info, each .info cost me $.66 and my hosting is $20 a year and i get 200gb storage and 2tb bandwidth and each of my sites make upwards of $2 a day. So get your facts right first
Make like 3~5 websites, you have a bigger chance to grow big. If you have 100 websites it always will be small. If you have one you have less chance to be big. As everyone knows, you can get sandboxed and stuff... Imagine if you get, you will be with no others website to get income, so you cant pay the bills.
I think the best strategy for myself would be to develope 5-7 mid-sized sites, so I'm able to give them all the attention they require to become cash cows, while protecting myself through diversification. Also if you develope sites of similar content you can link them together and attempt to increase your ROI per visitor.
Yes guys Even I have a doubt regarding this I have a website with 300 odd pages but i dont make much out of it would it be better to have 30 to 50 sites
Agreed. But if you divide the problem and attack one small bit at a time..say 5 sites per month and do this for 20 months, you can have 100 fantastic sites . Of course it takes patience, even Rome wasn't built in a single day
At the moment I'm focusing on making a site that will contain a lot of guides and HowTos, but I have to say that you need much patience and to be prepared to bear a lot of frustration...it's really painful to see Adsense earnings remaining under $1 despite all your efforts. I hope I'll be rewarded in the long run.
I think it's hard to put one over the other, as either idea can be just as successful as the other, so it's all good. Once you have an idea, push for it and you may achieve your goals. For example one big site can attract huge potential, whereas many little sites could also achieve the same traffic spread accross different areas. Having many small sites is also at an advantage, because you are diversifying across many different areas, therefore if one site goes bust, you have 100 others bringing in the income. However if you just have one site all your eggs are in the same basket. Also small sites have the advantage that your trying so many different ideas, and it is possible one of the small sites could turn into a big site.
Very well said mate, its always a big advantage to have several websites. at least one get busted, so the other can be worked out.
