So, would you use one blog for all your content, then SEO each page, plus run campaigns to promote each page, instead of the main site? OK, I have a niche. I think I can get about 10 sub niches out of it using the long tails. I was thinking of creating 10 testimonial type one page sites. But, can I just create these in a category in my regular blog, then target each of those testimonials in a bum marketing or ppc campaign with seperate articles and ads? That way the user would have access to all my info, making me look like more of an expert, after they read customer testimonials. Or is that too much info for the buyer? 10 one page testimonials to target 10 sub niches or 1 blog categorized to contain all these sub niches? Which method is the best?
I think that it depends on whether you're thinking long term or short term. If you trying to cash in short term you may want to go with the 10 one page sites. If you are thinking about creating a viable business for the future then you may want to go with a blog and create 10 categories out of your various sub niches. The 10 categories will give you the chance to put lots of content on your site and still create 10 landing pages for your testimonials or review pages. The more content you have the better your site will do in the SERPs over time. Lots of content plus search engine rankings plus sales equals a viable long term business that you can keep or potentially sell.
Thanks. I am just afraid that the sifebars on the testimonial pages with blog categories will get the visitor to browse my site and forget to buy. Is this stupid thinking?
What are the niches? If they're all related, for instance, health related (one is cancer, one is heart problems and so on), then I would recommend doing one big site with all the info on, as with the right SEO work, this could get pretty good and be a big reference point, but if the niches are totally unrelated you should definately go for the 10 smaller sites.
1 big blog, because then the whole site gets the benefits of seo, a page with lots of backlinks will interlink with the rest of your site, (save on domains as well you could save 70$ or so), easier to modify/ deal with. Although you risk having all of your eggs in 1 basket, say your site gets deindexed, you loose all your income. But 10 small sites you only loose 1/10. Overall if you are in it for the long run and are doing white hat seo, 1 big site if they are close enough.
I would pick one of the 10 products as the main product to promote and push that one above all the others.
I agree with what kiteguy123 said. It depends on the situation. But I will normally create small blogs instead of putting everything on just one blog.
