One article, smarter to post it on one blog or more?

I have some personally writen articles which i would like google to spider. The article has my keywords listed in it 10 or so times.

Each time the keyword(s) are listed, my goal is to link it to my site.

The article will be listed only on personal blogs i have that are in the same "industry" as the article itself.

    SO my question is this.

should i post the entire article on multiple sites, or just one (i.e blogspot.com )

will the duplicate content issues i hear about affect my backlinks?

Better put only one. At the same time, submit it to article submission site such as ezine

Yes, i'm agree with lifeplayer, better put it in one place, after that submit it to article directories. I have one article directory site articlecompilation.com and I will approve your genuine content ;)

Links from a duplicate article will be of nearly zero weight, while it will take much longer to index the duplicate page .

If you'd like to place this article on more than one blog/website, then I think the best thing to do is re-write it. This way, you will avoid the duplicate content issue. My 2 cents :p..

Thanks guys. That answers my question.

I got 20 articles, and have distributed them over the last week and a half over 3 blogs that i have After submission, i submit them to digg etc to make sure google spiders them all soon.

I figured this was better then copying and pasting the same 500 words on 100 sites .

You're welcome, bud. Of course, it's definitely better to distribute those articles in several different places, than just simply put them all in one place, for example ;). Good luck!

Hello guys. I wanted to know the answer to this so I built 10 blogs with exactly the same content and promoted them. They are all on the search engines in different spots, but they have not been affected. Also, I routinely submit the exact same article to over 20 article directories. The result has been that my articles dominate the first 2 pages on Google for my keywords. The key for me has been to go deep on the keywords. If you don't know what I mean here's an example: fish - really hard to rank, types of freshwater fish - much easier. You need to rank for a whole bunch of keywords to get the traffic you need, but it is worth the effort.

Have you tried varying the title and anchor link text? I've tried submission to 2-3 directories and also to 20. My rank has always been better when I do more submissions. Have you tried this or do you just believe it to be true?

It's not the matter of the anchor texts of the links but because of the copied contents being used. This is the reason why Google no longer indexes ALL of the articles distributed across the web which are 100% exactly like each other.

So even links from the same pages might be of minor values but can be good for traffic.

i usually go for only ever putting one article in one place in order to avoid any possible duplicate content issues.
